The blood vessels present in periodontal ligament rupture and release contents in surrounding space

Adaptive capacity of tissues to withstand occlusal forces is impaired resulting in injury from normal occlusal forces

The alveolar bone is not damaged

Bifurcations and trifurcations are less susceptible to injury related to this condition
