Promising results in animal studies for MERS-CoV and SARS, suggesting it may have some effects in patients with COVID-19. Dose being studied is 200mg iv on day one followed by 100mg iv once daily for 4 to 9 days. Currently Remdesivir has received investigational new drug (IND) status and several clinical trials are ongoing on patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection.
