Primaquine: It is gameticidal against all species of Plasmodium i.e. vivax, ovale, falciparum, malariae. Hence, it is DOC to prevent transmission of malaria. It is also used for Radical cure of vivax and ovale malaria as it can kill hypnozoites as well. Chloroquine and Quinine: Gameticidal against P. vivax species only
