Conscious, ale and awake as the tegmental Ascending Reticular Activating System (ARAS) is intact. Veical eye movements are intact as it is controlled by the interstitial nucleus of Cajal and the rostral pa of the M.L.F Horizontal movements are lost ,basalis pontis is involved- 6th cranial nerve involvement
