And at later stage hearing loss is corrected by surgical means. Treatment Aural toilet Ear drops : Antibiotic ear drops containing neomycin, polymyxin, chloromycetin or gentamicin. Systemic antibiotics Precautions: keep water out of ear during bathing, swimming and hairwash. Treatment of contributory causes Surgical treatment: Aural polyp or regulations should be removed before local treatment with antibiotics.
