Description: Abdominal aoic aneurysm rupture frequently leads to the leakage of blood into the left retroperitoneal space. It is associated with sudden onset or increase in abdominal or back pain. It is maximal at the time of onset. Patients become hypotensive, tachycardic and diaphoretic and on examination show signs of peritoneal irritation.
