Most common site of oesophageal rupture in rigid bronchoscopy

Description: Rigid bronchoscopy--It is used for removal of the foreign body and bronchial wash. It reaches up to third generation bronchioles. It is used to take the biopsy from carcinoma of proximal divisions but not from carcinoma of the peripheral lung. The rigid scope has got multiple holes to allow ventilation during the procedure (Oesophagoscope does not have side holes). It is done under general anaesthesia.
