Liver biopsy is indicated in patients with hemochromatosis only if:

Description: Screening tests for hemochromatosis are: transferrin saturation or ferritin level (Both will be high) Confirmatory test for hemochromatosis: Genetic testing (C282Y homozygote or a compound heterozygote (C282Y/H63D).
