Drug of Choice : Acyclovirdeg Koilocytes are characteristic of HPV infection.deg It is characterized by squamous epithelial cell enlargement multinucleation, and the perinuclear "HALO" effect of koilocytosis. The so called BALLOON cell is pathognomic of this condition. Enlarged. multinucleated cells with ground glass cytoplasm and nuclei containing characteristic inclusion bodies are indicative of HSV infection.deg
