Insulin glargine is a long-acting biosynthetic insulin. The onset of action is delayed. It acts for around 24hrs and action stas after 1- 1 30hr ultrasho acting are used for emergency purposes like diabetic ketoacidosis. glargine is not useful in this case (REF.
