Diagnosis: Serologic assays (IFA, indirect immunoperoxidase and enzyme immunoassays) are main stay of diagnosis. Treatment - Rifampin - Azithromycin and clarithromycin Trudy speaking doxycycline is not drug of choice but it can be used for all rickettsial infections.
