Open CBD explorationLaparoscopic CBD exploration is an advanced surgery and if a surgeon is not trained for this then he should conve the case and do open cholecystectomy and open CBD exploration.The preparation and indications for cholecystectomy are the same whether it is performed by laparoscopy or by open techniques.For patients in whom a laparoscopic approach is not indicated or in whom conversion from a laparoscopic approach is required an open cholecystectomy is performed.
