Oligodendroglioma: The tumors are composed of bwith spherical nuclei containing finely granular chromatin (similar to normal oligodendrocytes) surrounded by a clear halo of vacuolated cytoplasm giving a 'fried egg' appearance. The tumor typically contains a delicate network of anastomosing capillaries ('chicken-wire' capillaries). Perinuclear satellitosis is a feature of oligodendroglioma. Most commonly presented in the fouh and fifth decades . The lesion is mostly found in the cerebral hemispheres (mainly in temporal or frontal lobes).
