Description: Pahenium hysterophorus or congress weed is the most common plant producing phytodermatitis in india. It preseents with pruritic skin lesions on exposed areas even involving the photoprotected ares. Hence called pseudophotodermatitis. Allergen responsible is sesquiterpene lactone.
