Prostatic urethra - shows transitional epithelium Membranous urethra - shows pseudostratified columnar epithelium Bulbar urethra - shows pseudostratified columnar epithelium Penile urethra - shows pseudostratified columnar epithelium and stratified squamous at opening. Wall of bulbar urethra is thin & suppoed by spongy tissue which makes it very prone to injury & only the injury of bulbar urethra can result in extravasation of urine in superficial perineal pouch.
