A 24 year old Male who sufferred road traffic accident was brought to casualty immediately. He had breathlessness and was tachypnoeic. On examination trachea was deviated to Left side and there was hyperresonant sound on right chest. How do you manage this patient?
Correct Answer: Insert a large bore I V needle in the 2nd intercostal spare on Right Midclavicular line
Description: The symptoms & clinical examination fingings are suggestive of "Tension pneumothorax", which should be manged immediately by inserting large iv base needle into the 2nd intercostal space in midclavicular line on affected side.
