Hereditary -

Radiation

Benzene, smoking, ethylene oxide, paint, herbicide and pesticides.
Drugs
Alkalating agents, Topoisomerase II inhibitors, Chloramphenicol, phenylbutazone and less commonly chloroquine, thethoxypsoralen can result in bone marrow failure that may result in AML.
