Superior epigastric drain into internal thoracic then into SVC which open into right atrium, hence blood can be drained from IVC into SVC . Superficial Epigastric vein forms collaterals with Lateral Thoracic vein thoracoepigastric vein in case of either IVC or SVC obstruction
