The principal manifestations include hepatomegaly, skin pigmentation (paicularly in sun-exposed areas), deranged glucose homeostasis or frank diabetes mellitus from destruction of pancreatic islets, cardiac dysfunction (arrhythmias, cardiomyopathy), and atypical ahritis.
