Histology shows acanthosis, papillomatosis, hyperkeratosis, compact ohokeratosis, alternating bands of oho and parakeratosis, perinulclear vacuolization of keratinocytes in granular layer (stratum granulosum) and stratum spinosumQ and irregular cellular boundaries peripheral to the vacuolization and increased number of irregularly shaped large kerathinohyaline granules.
