HACEK includes Haemophilus, Actinobacillus, Cardiobacterium, Eikenella, and Kingella; Haemophilus aphrophilus and Actinobacillus. Oral cavity, skin and respiratory tract are the primary poal of entry of staphylococcus, viridans streptococcus, and HACEK. S bovis originates from the GIT, where it is associated with polyps and colonic tumors. Enterococci enters bloodstream from the genitourinary tract.
