Description: Hypertrophy:-

→ Results due to increase in growth factor or trophic stimuli.

Hyperplasia:-
→ Increase in number of cells (in tissue) organ.
→ Results due to increase in growth factors, increased expression of growth-promoting genes and increased DNA synthesis.
→ It persists as long as stimulus is present.
