Correct Answer: Ameloblastoma
Description: Ameloblastoma is the most common benign but locally invasive epithelial odontogenic tumor. It is most frequent in the 3rd to 5th decades of life. Preferential sites are the mandible in the molar-ramus area and the maxilla. The tumor originates from the dental epithelium of the enamel itself or its epithelial residues. Sometimes, the tumor may arise from the epithelial lining of a dentigerous cyst or from the basal layer of the oral mucosa. Radiologically, the typical picture is of a multilocular destruction of the bone. Tumor with a histologic resemblance to ameloblastoma can occur occasionally in the long bone, like adamantinoma of the tibia Ref: TEXTBOOK OF PATHOLOGY 6th EDITION - HARSH MOHAN PAGE NO:531
