Description: Non immune hydrops can be caused by a variety of causes. Among the infectious cause, parvovirus can lead to non immune hydrops. Hydrops fetalis refers to excessive accumulation of fluid in at least two fetal body cavities. It can be of two types, immune and non immune. Immune type result from hemolysis of fetal RBC by maternal IgG antibodies to fetal antigen. Non immune type, is the result of any non antibody mediated process that lead to hydrops.
