So, there is no photosensitivity In Acute intermittent porphyria, the accumulation of ALA and PBG block the action of GABA hence produce neurological symptoms such as excitation of visceral pain fibers leading to acute pain crisis, abdominal pain, vomiting, constipation, hypeension and tachycardia
