Most of the patients are involved in heavy manual work and they run a greater risk of sustaining injury. Tuberculous verrucous vulgaris lesions mostly occur in lower limbsQ A definite history of trauma precedes the onset of Tuberculous verrucous vulgaris in many of the patients. The patients are usually engaged in heavy manual work and being engaged in these works they are more prone .for frequent injuries. The resultant trauma might provide a poal of entry to the AFB. Tuberculosis verrucosa cutis usually begins as a solitary napulonodule following a tril injury or trauma on one of the extremities that soon acquires a scaly and verrucous surface. The lesion which is usually persistent, expands slowly over several months or years with or without central clearing and atrophy. Diagnosis Postive inycobacterial culture and characteristic histopathalogical findings on biopsy specimens. Treatment Responds well to A.T.T. Verrucus vulgaris Also known as common was.
